Bio
Jonathan Diskin is a West Yorkshire guitarist, composer, and teacher, based in Horsforth, Leeds.
A graduate of Leeds Conservatoire with both a BA (Hons) in Popular Music and a Master’s degree in Music Composition, Jonathan combines academic expertise with real-world experience as a performer and educator.
Known for his down-to-earth approach and being passionate about helping others grow to achieve their goals. Jonathan has spent over 10 years teaching acoustic and electric guitar to students of all ages and abilities. His lessons are practical, creative, and tailored to each individual — whether you’re learning your first chords or refining your live performance skills.
Jonathan also provides professional guitar and bass setups, including string changes, action adjustments, and general maintenance — ensuring every instrument plays and sounds its best.
As a performer, Jonathan’s worked in cover bands, musical theatre, and on original projects, including being signed to a progressive rock label. Specialising in blues and rock, he draws influence from a wide range of genres and has trained under respected guitarists such as Stuart McCallum, Steve ‘Roadrunner’ Walker and Nik Svarc.
Jonathan brings the same energy and work ethic to every lesson and performance — making learning guitar both inspiring and achievable for everyone.
